Celebrating a Million — And What It Really Means

CUPRA Hits One Million: More Than Just a Number

CUPRA has produced its one-millionth vehicle, marking an extraordinary milestone for a brand launched only in 2018. The car — a CUPRA Formentor e-HYBRID in Magnetic Tech matt — rolled off the Martorell line, where CUPRA leads a €3 billion transformation toward electrification.

“Reaching the milestone of one million CUPRA vehicles produced is a demonstration of the bold vision and relentless passion that drives our brand,” said Markus Haupt, CUPRA CEO.

In just seven years, CUPRA has expanded a lineup that now includes the Ateca, Leon, Formentor, Born, Tavascan, Terramar, and soon, the Raval — a model that will “make electromobility more accessible to a new generation.”

The Formentor, now Europe’s best-selling A-CUV, embodies CUPRA’s design DNA: shark-nose front, Matrix LEDs, illuminated logo, and a 272 PS plug-in hybrid system combining a 1.5 TSI engine with a 19.7 kWh battery.

CUPRA will raffle a Formentor e-HYBRID among employees, a tribute to “the talent, passion, and dedication of all the people who are part of our brand,” noted Laura Carnicero, EVP for People & Organization.

Beyond the celebration, CUPRA is investing heavily in the future of mobility. Together with the Volkswagen Group and PowerCo, it is contributing to a €10 billion national electrification plan. The Martorell plant will soon produce the CUPRA Raval and Volkswagen ID. Polo, supported by a new €300 million battery assembly facility.

With 12 CUPRA City Garages worldwide — including recent openings in Vienna and Manchester — and plans to expand into the Middle East, CUPRA continues its mission to become one of Spain’s true global automotive icons.

As CUPRA puts it, “The one million is not just a number — it’s the result of passion, creativity, and transformation.”
